John S Weckel

John S. Weckel, 63, of New Vienna, Ohio (formerly of Springboro, Ohio) passed away 5:52 AM, Monday, October 21, 2019 at Heartland of Hillsboro.  Mr. Weckel was born September 1, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Charles H. Weckel and Audrey A. Kaiser Weckel.  He was a 1974 graduate of Springboro High School.

Mr. Weckel worked at Concrete Technology in Springboro for 20 years.  He then did maintenance work for 15 years at Appletree Apartments in New Vienna.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman.

He is survived by a sister, Charlene (John) Schram of Texas; a brother, Tim (Nancy) Weckel of Middletown, Ohio; his nephew, John (Stephanie) Schram II; a great-nephew, Hayden Schram; and close family friends, Robbie & Julie Minnie and family.

A celebration of John’s life will be held at 6:00 PM, Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Rev. Wiley Perkins officiating.  The family will greet friends from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home in Wilmington.
