Allen Wojcinski Obituary

Allen William Wojcinski, 95, passed away on February 3, 2025.  He was born April 26, 1929 in Pleasant Plain, Ohio, the son of Leo and Kathryn Wojcinski.  Allen was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Allen graduated from Blanchester High School in 1946.  Following graduation, he served with the US Army.  He married Jalie “Jay” Combs in 1950 and they were married for 65 years.

Allen owned and operated Wojcinski’s SOHIO in Blanchester for many years.  He served on the Blanchester School Board and was active with the Blanchester Jaycees.  He sponsored and played on several Jaycees softball teams.  He also enjoyed fishing, sailing, and water skiing, which he enjoyed with his family when he lived on Lake Lorelei.  He and his wife Jay were avid travelers having visited all 48 contiguous states with a group of close family and friends. He was a devoted family man and was very proud of his family.

Mr. Wojcinski is survived by a daughter, Patti Dugger of Wilmington; three grandchildren, Jeff (Becky) Goodwin of Traverse City, Michigan, Brad (Erika) Goodwin of Wilmington, and Sarah Goodwin-Ross (Adam Ross) of Middletown; six great-grandchildren, Aubrey Goodwin-Reischman (Bobby) of Traverse City, Michigan, Sterling Goodwin of Traverse City, Michigan, Eli Goodwin of Traverse City, Michigan, Reece Schulz of Traverse City, Michigan, Emily Goodwin of Wilmington, Ohio and Gracie Goodwin of Wilmington, Ohio. He is also survived by special family members David Wojcinski, Richard Pont, Bob and Bobbie Romohr and friend and neighbor Kenny Gosney. These special family and friends were true blessings to Mr. Wojcinski and he was so grateful for them.

His dear wife, Jay, passed in 2015. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lora Wojcinski-Bowman, two great grandsons, Corin Goodwin and Zeke Goodwin and his devoted dog, Molly.

A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Community Care Hospice, 1669 Rombach Ave, Wilmington, OH 45177.
