Anna Louise Hendee, 72, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at her residence. Her husband, Robert Lee Hendee, preceded her in death May 19, 2017. They were married October 30, 1971. Mrs. Hendee was born February 2, 1949 in Wilmington, Ohio, daughter of the late George W. and Evelyn Jane Long Collins. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School.

Anna was a birthright Quaker and had worked as a traffic guard for Wilmington City Schools. Her passion was her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Robert Lee (fiancée Kimberly Scott) Hendee Jr. of Wilmington, Ohio, Thomas Stanley Hendee of Wilmington, Ohio, and Brian (Kristi) Hendee of New Vienna, Ohio; daughter, Rachel Hendee of Peebles, Ohio; two sisters, Wanda Collins of Sabina, Ohio and Mary Myrtle (Steven) Powell of Sabina, Ohio; and eight grandchildren, Desiree Williams, Areonia Russo, William Hendee, Robert Lee Hendee III, Ethan Hendee, Arika Hendee, Noah Planck, and Addalynn Planck.

In addition to her husband and parents, a son, William Edward Hendee, and two brothers, David Collins and Richard Collins, are preceded in death.

Mrs. Hendee will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
