Bradley O’Dana Smart, 39, of Martinsville, Ohio died unexpectedly Friday, July 2, 2021. He was born December 7, 1981 in Wilmington, Ohio.
Brad had a passion for fishing and excelled at it. He caught many “Monster catfish at the mill” and had won many fishing tournaments. Brad simply LOVED to fish. Brad loved with his whole heart and would make personal sacrifices to help anyone in need. He took pride in not pretending to be someone other than himself. His family and friends will miss him; always remember the good times.
Brad is survived by his father, Ronald Dale Smart of Martinsville, Ohio; his mother, DeeAnn E. Miars (Bart) Clark of Wilmington, Ohio; his son, Joshua James Fisher of Forest Park, Ohio; sisters, Brittney Smithson and Karley Smart; grandparents, Patricia (Larry) Quigley, Janice (Hank) Majoewsky, and Ronald L. Smart; great-grandmother, Linda Smart; his dog and special companion, Doc; as well as several uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by stepfather, Ronald J. Ball; grandfather, Russell D. Miars Sr.; and great-grandmothers, Mary E. Botts and Betty Sullivan.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, Thursday. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
