Brenda Damron Obituary

Brenda Sue (Lewis, Schneider) Damron, 77, of Martinsville, Ohio, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 10, 2025 surrounded by her children. She was born on February 15, 1948, in Blaze, Kentucky, daughter of the late Winford and Mary Deffie (Hoskinson, Sargent) Lewis. She was a devoted and loving wife to the late Richard Damron and a cherished mother and nana to her own family and many others.

Brenda lived as a true example of a Godly woman, praying deeply and loving deeply. She listened with genuine attention and offered wise counsel that lifted spirits. She bloomed wherever she was planted and helped others do the same, understanding that both flower gardens and relationships require devotion, patience, and care—and she possessed a green thumb for both.

Brenda approached life with a smile, choosing happiness first and loving others exactly where they were. Her greatest treasures were the Lord, her family, and her friends, followed closely by flowers, tea parties, and spirited games of Yahtzee.

She brought warmth wherever she went—whether digging in her garden, dancing in her living room as if at a grand ball, or welcoming visitors into her beautiful, peaceful home. Everyone who stepped into her presence felt the calm she radiated, a reflection of the gentle strength that defined her character. Her laughter came easily, and her sweetly ornery sense of humor delighted everyone around her.

As an STNA and caregiver, Brenda channeled her kind, gentle strength into caring for others, offering comfort not only to those in her care but also to their families during difficult times.

Even as she faced the challenges of dementia, Brenda's strength only grew. She met each day with her signature calm spirit, simple grace, and unwavering patience.

Brenda is survived by her children, Michelle (Troy) Cox of Greenwich, OH, Charles (Traci) Schneider III of New Vienna, OH, Christina (Chip) Murdock of Wilmington, OH and Jill (Aaron) Damron Wasmer of Benton Harbor, MI; grandchildren Jordan (Zach) McClure, Ciara (Joshua) McGee, Elexis (Tim) Wiederhold, Kaleb Murdock, Seth Murdock, Jacob Schneider Ison, Zeke Schneider, Leah Schneider, Bethany Bracken, Braden Cox, Josiah Ellis, Carmen Ellis, and Diana McLauchlin; great-grandchildren Jason, Madison, Payson, Jaxson, Tate, Ayla, Case and Quinn; her siblings Jim (Judy) Lewis of Shelby, OH, Sharon Roberts of Willard, OH, and Steve (Judy) Lewis of Attica, OH, and sister-in-law, Cozetta Sargent of Xenia, OH; and special friend Monica Powell.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Charles F. Schneider Jr.; her husband Richard Damron; siblings Evelyn Rhine, Frances Musick, Betty Ruth Sargent, Jane Dumbaugh, Harold Sargent, Clifton “Tony” Lewis, Patricia Lewis, Cozetta Adkins, Christine Lewis, Arzetta Lewis and special friend Sharon (King) Leslie.
