Carol D. Denier, 80, of Clarksville, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Artis Senior Living of Mason. Her husband, Jerome A. Denier Jr. preceded her in death December 5, 2013. Mrs. Denier was born December 8, 1941 in Honolulu, Hawaii, the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Mrs. Denier was a graduate of St. Joseph College in Maryland and retired from Clinton Massie Schools after working there for many years. She was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church, the Harveysburg Book Club, and the Fun Bunch. She enjoyed playing bridge.
Carol is survived by two sons, Jerome A. “Tony” (Melissa) Denier III of Clarksville, Ohio and Charles “Patrick” (Susie Schultz) Denier of Powell, Ohio; a brother, J. Kirk (Ruth) Davis of Palestine, Texas; and eight grandchildren, Anthony, Sam, Danny, Nick, Chase, Connor, Caelan, and Luke.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her father, Charles W. Davis; her mother, Joan Kirk Davis; a daughter, Debra Marie Denier; and a brother, John B. “Rick” Davis.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Friday, December 17, 2021 at Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 18, 2021 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 73 N. Mulberry Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Rev. Michael J. Holloran officiating. Burial will be in Clarksville Cemetery.
