She was deeply loved and known for her exuberance, fair mindedness, resilience, and ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. She never met a stranger and found daily joy in drives around town, word puzzles, reading, estate sales, and time with loved ones.
Carolyn attended Wilmington College and was a graduate of Morehead State University in Kentucky. She was a longtime employee of Fort Dodge Animal Health, and a member of First Christian Church in Wilmington.
She is survived by her twin sister, Marolyn Adams, and elder sister, Jean (Jerry) Carter-Ivy: nephew, Michael (Elizabeth) Carter; nieces, Karen (Curtis) Franklin and Rebecca (Michael) Carter Matrescu; and cousins, David Adams and Mary Eleanor Current.
She was preceded in death by her son, Troy A. Henry, and beloved dog, Buddy.
