Charles Clifford “Buck” Rudduck, 78, of Clarksville, Ohio passed away quietly Sunday, May 31, 2020 at the Four Seasons Nursing Home in Washington Court House, Ohio. He was born December 9, 1941 in Clinton County, Ohio, son of the late Bud and Helen Smith Rudduck.
Buck worked as a brick mason and mechanic for most of his early life. He then went to work for Schweitzer Construction moving heavy equipment where he worked for 33 years.
Buck’s first love was racing followed by playing cards. He was an avid drag racer during the 1960’s and 1970’s at both Kil-Kare and Edgewater Speedways. In his later years he took to John Deere tractors with his brother, building on for himself and one for his daughter to compete with at festivals and fairs. He travelled quite a bit throughout his life, visiting places such as Hawaii, Las Vegas, Yellowstone, Arizona, Montana, Florida, New York, Bahama Islands, Jamaica, Mexico, Maryland, Virginia, Louisiana, Washington D.C., and much of the Midwest, central and eastern coast of the United States.
Buck leaves behind a loving family including his wife, Patricia Nichols Rudduck; daughter, Shelly Marie (Jason) Cole of Clarksville, Ohio; son, Charles Jeffrey Rudduck of Xenia, Ohio; stepchildren, Rebecca (Matthew) Bollinger of Wilmington, Ohio, Tara (Richard) Butler of Hillsboro, Ohio, and Gregory G. Rand of Hillsboro, Ohio; brother, Butch (Sheila) Rudduck of Sabina, Ohio; sisters, Peggy Ann (Mike) Faul of Jamestown, Ohio, Sandy Helterbran of Jamestown, Ohio, Linda Hughes of Sabina, Ohio, and Patricia Roberts of Maryland; grandchildren, Regan Cole of Clarksville, Ohio and Tate Cole of Clarksville, Ohio; and step-grandchildren, Emily Bollinger of Wilmington, Ohio, Katelyn Bollinger of Wilmington, Ohio, Shelby (John) Mosley of Frankfurt, Kentucky, Curran Butler of Hillsboro, Ohio, and Ezra Rand of Hillsboro, Ohio
In addition to his parents, Buck was preceded in death by three nephews, Tony Summers, Allan Roberts, and Mark Roberts, and a niece, Casey Irene Rudduck.
A celebration of Buck’s life will be held later. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Buck’s memory may be made to Heartland Hospice, 116 Morris Road, Circleville, Ohio 43113.
