Douglas E Young

Douglas E. Young, 62, of New Vienna, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021.  He was born July 5, 1958 in Washington Court House, Ohio, son of the late Thomas and Betty Achor Young.  He was a 1976 graduate of East Clinton High School.

Mr. Young worked as an auto mechanic at Century Motors in Cincinnati for 22 years and had been active in ABATE.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Shinkle; son, Thomas Young of New Vienna, Ohio; stepchildren, Joshua Livingston of Sabina, Ohio and Courtney (Dakota) Brewer of Marysville, Ohio; a brother, Mark (Verna) Young of Leesburg, Ohio; step-grandchildren, Tatum Brewer and Cambree Brewer; a niece, Kara Young; and a special aunt, Judy Achor.

In addition to his parents, a daughter, Lorie Dawn Young, and a sister, Lynn Young, are preceded in death.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the Smith Funeral Home, 64 S. South Street, New Vienna, Ohio followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, Tuesday.  Burial will be in New Antioch Cemetery.
