Edith I. Monroe Dugan, 96, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation Residence. She was born May 12, 1924 in Holland, Ohio, daughter of the late Minor W. and Edith Isabel Smith Carter.
Edith, a member of the Wilmington First Church of God, supported the Ministry of Wings of Mercy making outfits for children of Honduras. Locally, she also did alterations for many.
She is survived by daughters, Virginia (George) Fitzgerald of Hillsboro, Ohio, Janet (Norman) Hahn of Wilmington, Ohio, and Jody (Jeff) Stacey of Wilmington, Ohio; a son, Joe (Joan) Monroe of Sabina, Ohio; nine grandchildren; as well as several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Harry Monroe and Russell Dugan; six sisters; and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South St., Wilmington, Ohio. Burial will be in New Antioch Cemetery.
