Elizabeth J (Black) "Libby" Crowe

Elizabeth J. “Libby” Crowe, 84, of Blanchester, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022 at the Laurels of Blanchester.  Her husband, Fred Crowe Sr. preceded her in death November 17, 2003.  They were married September 3, 1954. 

She was born August 5, 1938 in Wilmington, Ohio, daughter of the late Robert and Irene Earley Black. 

Libby retired from Continental Manor Nursing Home where she worked as the dietary aide.  She attended the Blanchester Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Fred E. (Cindy) Crowe Jr. of Blanchester, Ohio; a daughter, Lisa (Paul) Jackson of Blanchester, Ohio; brother, Robert D. (Dolly) Black of Wilmington, Ohio; sister, Rosie (Ronald) Satterfield of Deer Park, Ohio; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her husband and parents, a brother, Jackie Black, is preceded in death.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio.  A funeral service with Rev. Paul Crisp officiating will begin at 1:00 PM, Wednesday.  Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
