Ellen W (Williams) Taylor

Ellen W. Taylor, 90, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Four Seasons of Washington.  Her husband, William Taylor Sr. preceded her in death in 1988.  She was born February 12, 1933 in Fayette, Missouri, daughter of the late James Williams and Elaine Bynum Williams.

Ellen was a 1951 graduate of Wilmington High School and a member of Bible Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, William Taylor Jr. of Wilmington, Ohio; two daughters, Valrie Robinson of Wilmington, Ohio and Theran Washington of Miami, Florida; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, a brother, Marion Stapleton, and two sisters, Cornelius Irene Hamilton and Adale Alice Parker, are preceded in death.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 PM, Friday, December 29, 2023 at Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio.  A funeral service with Pastor Kurtis Summerville officiating will begin at 1:00 PM, Friday followed by burial in Clinton County Memory Gardens.
