Elmer R "Jigger" Stout III

Elmer R. “Jigger” Stout III, 74, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away May 2, 2024 at his residence.  He was born October 23, 1949 in Clark County, Ohio, son of the late Elmer R. Stout Jr. and Glenna Elizabeth Carter Stout.  He was a graduate of Clinton Massie High School and served in the U.S. Army. 

Mr. Stout worked 23 years at Airborne Express as a security officer.  He was an avid Elvis Presley fan and collector of diecast cars.  He also enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by his children, Adam Stout, Holly Stout, and Cherokee (Christie) Stout; brothers, Jim (Patty) Fyffe and Thomas Stout; sisters, Judy Landrum, Mandy (Ed) Smith, Mary (Mike) Burns, and Lou Ann Marshall; and grandchildren, Sierra Harris and Jonathan Harris.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Fyffe; sisters, Rachel Fyffe, Violet Fyffe, Susie Stout, Jeanie Stout, and Becky Griffith; and his longtime companion, Connie Sue Watson. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio.
