Obituary

Ethel Mae Workman, 78, of New Vienna, Ohio passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio.  Her husband, Donald E. Workman, preceded her in death June 14, 2022.  She was born February 16, 1945 in Peebles, Ohio, daughter of the late William Edward Cox and Virginia Elizabeth Loman Cox.  Ethel enjoyed music and was an avid Elvis fan.

She is survived by four sons, Troy Smith, Terry Smith, Todd Smith, and Toby Pyle; two daughters, Chrystal Smith and Candi Smith; a brother, George W. Cox; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Carolyn Spurlock.

In addition to her husband and parents, three sisters, Esther Bell, Mildred Moore, and Clarine Quigley, are preceded in death.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Friday, May 12, 2023 at Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio.  The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, Friday at Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio.  Burial will follow in New Vienna I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
