Glenna May Samsel, 83, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 29, 2022. She was born May 31, 1938 in Phoenix, Arizona, daughter of the late Lee and Mabel Johnson.
Glenna retired from Liberty Savings Bank - Liberty Centre in Wilmington. She was an active member of Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington and The Clinton County Aging Up Community Center. She enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with her daughter, Patti, granddaughter, Megan and great-grandsons, Owen and Jonah.
Glenna is survived by two daughters, Maureen (Glen) Pixler of Kingman, Arizona and Patti Hedrick of Wilmington, Ohio; a son, Donald (Stephanie) Gunter of Medford, Oregon; her granddaughter, Megan (Jake Zurface) Hedrick of Wilmington and five other grandchildren; her great-grandsons, Owen Blevins, Jonah Zurface, and nine other great-grandchildren; and numerous special friends including her beloved dog, Bruce.
In addition to her parents, four brothers and a granddaughter are preceded in death.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Bible Baptist Church, 55 Megan Drive, Wilmington, Ohio. A celebration of Glenna’s life will follow at 6:00 PM, Thursday, February 10.
