Harry Leo Pauley, 68, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. His wife, Terri Poorman Pauley, whom he married October 18, 1975, survives. He was born July 13, 1952 in Salina, Kansas the son of Shirley VanCleef Hover of Xenia, Ohio and the late Albert Hover. He was a graduate of Stebbins High School and served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division.
Throughout his career, Mr. Pauley had worked for TCI Cable, Time Warner Cable, and SeaChange International. He was a member of the Wilmington Seventh Day Adventist Church and had also been a member of the Middletown Seventh Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed being a ham radio operator and riding his Harley.
In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Pauley is survived by his son, Brian (Emma) Pauley of South Charleston, Ohio; his daughter, Jennifer (Zach) Harvey of Monroe, Ohio; a sister, Sherry (Jack) Kelly of Huber Heights, Ohio; several nephews; and a niece. In addition to his father, a grandson, Jaxon Flint, and a nephew, Jack Kelly Jr., are preceded in death.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Face coverings will be required and those attending are reminded to follow the social distancing guidelines. A funeral service with Pastor Fred Shoemaker officiating will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 18, 2020 at Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 49 Honor Guard.
