Inga H. Grove of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Ohio Living Cape May Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at the age of 90.
Born Inga Maria Hildur Bak-Jensen in Uddevalla, Sweden and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark, she was the daughter of Jens and Ida Bak-Jensen. Inga was a former Harveysburg and Kingman kindergarten teacher and devoted homemaker. Inga was a member of the local American Cancer Society Board, BRIC Investment Club, Wilmington Garden Club, Clinton County Historical Society, Wilmington Ohio Writers Group and Scandinavian Society of Cincinnati. She also enjoyed singing in the Wilmington United Methodist and First Christian Church Choirs and later attending services at Springfield Friends Meeting.
Inga is survived by her husband of 68 years, Lynn S. Grove; sons Allan Scott (Barbara) Grove and Gregory W. (Jennifer) Grove; grandchildren Michelle L. (Matt) Perno, Sylvia M. Grove and Allan W. (Jenny) Grove; and five cherished great-grandchildren Nate and JD Perno and Ady, Joey, and Andy Grove.
Inga was preceded in death by her parents, bothers Abel (aka Gulie) and Egon Bak-Jensen and sister Eva Forsgren.
A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, July 19, 2024 at Springfield Friends Meeting Cemetery, 190 Todds Fork Rd., Wilmington, OH 45177. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Springfield Friends Meeting or the American Cancer Society.
