JOHN ALLEMANG Obituary

John W. Allemang, 45, of Wilmington, Ohio died Friday, March 11, 2011 in Nassau, Bahamas. His wife, LeAnn A. Larrick Allemang, whom he married September 27, 2009, survives. Mr. Allemang was born November 19, 1965 in Kettering, Ohio, son of Jane Fenwick Allemang of Wilmington, Ohio and the late Kemp K. Allemang. He was a 1984 graduate of Wilmington High School and attended The Ohio State University. Mr. Allemang worked in logistics for PC Connection. He had also worked for Precision Services and Manufacturing in Monroe Ohio, Timber Tech, and Micro Warehouse in Wilmington. A devoted father, he enjoyed camping and bike riding with his children, and was a volunteer for the Wilmington Band Boosters. He also enjoyed photography, cooking, and writing poetry. He was passionate about aviation, and loved going to air shows and to the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum. He was a member of the Wilmington United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Allemang is survived by a daughter, Sydney Allemang of Wilmington, Ohio; a son, Isaac Allemang of Wilmington, Ohio; two brothers, Kirk K. (Leigh Ann) Allemang of Mowrystown, Ohio and Scott F. (Michelle)Allemang of Wilmington, Ohio; a sister, Jill E. Allemang of Zurich, Switzerland; his mother-in-law, Lana J. Larrick of Leesburg, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Timothy L. Larrick of Wilmington, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Tina J. (Bill) Figgins of New Vienna, Ohio and DeAnn D. (Ken) Whittenburg of New Vienna, Ohio; his grandmother-in-law, Arlene Larrick; his grandfather-in-law, James Dennis; his nieces and nephews, Connor Allemang, Jamie (Mark Wilson) McGraw, Paige Souther, Hayden Allemang, Jenna Allemang, Jacob (Mary) Figgins, Kaliegh Figgins, Austin Spence, Taylor Spence, Kecia (Aaron) Cropper, Jack Whittenburg, and Gabby Whittenburg; two great nephews, Troy Wilson and Noah Figgins; and the mother of his children, Stephanie Gil. In addition to his father, his father-in-law, James Larrick, a nephew, Joshua Allemang, and a niece, Samantha Whittenburg, are preceded in death. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Burial will be in New Vienna I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Sunday, March 20, 2011 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the John Allemang Memorial Fund for the benefit of his children & other charities, c/o Fifth Third Bank, 1453 Rombach Avenue, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.
