Jon Charles Emmich, 76, of Blanchester, Ohio passed away June 4, 2024 at his home. He was born July 14, 1947 in Cincinnati and was raised in Anderson Township. After graduating high school, Jon served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
Jon’s hobbies included cooking, bird watching, adding items to his many personal collections, woodworking, and tinkering with anything mechanical from clocks to cars. He had a wonderful sense of humor which will be missed by family and friends. Upon his retirement, Jon and his wife Elaine built a state-of-the-art log cabin in which they resided for the rest of their years.
Survivors include his children, Jeffrey W. Emmich, Stephanie L. Emmich, and Kelly L. Emmich; stepchildren, Judy McLaren Richardson, John McLaren, Jeff McLaren, Jay McLaren, and Joe McLaren; his sister, Linda L. Emmich; grandchildren, Joe, Caitlin, James, and David; and several step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Petersman Emmich; second wife, J. Elaine Emmich; stepson, Jim McLaren; and his sister, Martha S. Emmich.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
