Josephine (Gabbard) Fox

Josephine Fox, 88, of Hillsboro, Ohio passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 at her residence.  Her husband, Cecil Fox, preceded her in death.  They were married October 1, 1949.  Mrs. Fox was born February 2, 1933 in St. Helens, Kentucky, daughter of the late Medford Gabbard and Ethel Kincaid Gabbard.  She was a member of the Midland Baptist Church.

Mrs. Fox is survived by a daughter, Brenda Cox of Hillsboro, Ohio; a grandson, Jeremy (Patricia) Cox of Jackson, Ohio; a great-grandson, Charlie Stuckey; and dear friend, Thelma Brandenburg.  In addition to her husband and parents, a son, George Fox, two brothers, Alan Gabbard and Clarence Gabbard, and five sisters, Ann Westfall, Lillie Mae Jones, Pauline Dodson, Ruth McKiddey, and Deloria Wilson, are preceded in death.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Smith Funeral Home, 64 S. South Street, New Vienna, Ohio.  A funeral service with Pastor Chuck Gray officiating will be begin at 6:00 PM, Tuesday evening.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at River View Cemetery, Beattyville, Kentucky.
