Juanita L (Gist) Watson

Juanita L. Watson, 78, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Hospice of Dayton.  She is survived by her husband, Terry Watson.  They were married June 5, 1987.  Mrs. Watson was born February 14, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Frank Gist and Cora Green Gist.

Juanita was a retired nurse’s aide.  She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and volunteered as a class grandma through Community Action.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Venita (George) O’Bannon of Columbus, Ohio, Corla (Jeff) Young of Dayton, Ohio, and Pauline (Shawn) Wilson of Dayton, Ohio; brother, Robert (Charlene) Hudson of Wilmington, Ohio; sisters, Phyllis Green of Wilmington, Ohio, LaVerne Hudson of Columbus, Ohio, and KayLynn Wakefield of Xenia, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, two sons, Charles Butler and Samuel Butler, and a daughter, Carla-Jett Butler, are preceded in death.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 225 Randolph Street, Wilmington, Ohio.  A funeral service with Pastor Byron McGee officiating will follow at 1:00 PM, Saturday.
