Karen S. Haynie, 71, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020. She was born February 20, 1949 in Pansy, Ohio, daughter of the late Edward M. “Ted” and Catherine W. Haynie.
Karen, a 1967 graduate of Wilmington High School, was a member of the Wilmington Church of Christ, had worked in the restaurant business for many years and was currently a temporary employee of Dealertrack in Wilmington. She enjoyed reading, supporting Breast Cancer Research, and was a registered organ and tissue donor.
Karen is survived by brothers, William Haynie of Wilmington, Ohio and James (Shirley) Haynie of Blanchester Ohio; sisters, Martha Millikin of Wilmington, Ohio, Donna (Loren) Haines of Wilmington, Ohio, Esther Brinkman of Wilmington, Ohio, Joyce Foster of Rice Lake Wisconsin, Carolyn Harris, of Wilmington, Ohio, and Lois (Ed) Bratton of Danville, Indiana; brother-in-law, Bill Kennedy of Wilmington, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Kennedy, a brother Harold Haynie, and two brothers-in-law, Marion Harris and Robert Foster.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South St., Wilmington, Ohio. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM, Wednesday.
