Loren J Haines

Loren J. Haines, 77, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Friday, November 29, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio.  His wife, Donna Lou Haynie Haines, preceded him in death September 8, 2023.  They were married on October 5, 1968.  Mr. Haines was born February 12, 1947 in Wilmington, Ohio, son of the late Thad Haines and Mary Emma Young Haines.  He was a graduate of Clinton Massie High School and served in the U.S. Army.  He was a member of Chester Friends Meeting.

Mr. Haines is survived by his daughter, Loretta Haines of Wilmington, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Haines of Mexico, Missouri; a brother, Steven (Carol) Haines of Sabina, Ohio; two grandsons, Chase Haines of Mexico, Missouri and Jeffrey Haines of Mexico, Missouri; a great-grandson, Jettson Haines; and an honorary grandson, Kyle White.

In addition to his wife and parents, Loren was preceded in death by his son, Charles Haines, a brother, Ronald Haines, and a sister, Constance McCarren.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM.
