Malcolm Oliver Shutts, 75, of Waynesville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at his residence. He was born September 27, 1946, son of the late Harold A. and Ruth Doane Shutts.
Mr. Shutts, a lifelong farmer, still worked the family farm where he was born. He also managed the Caesar Creek Flea Market for 12 years. Malcolm was known for his longtime involvement with food pantries and benevolence work.
He is survived by his longtime partner, Kathy; his “adopted son” Mike Stewart; brothers and sister-in-law, Stanley Vernon (Ruth) Shutts of Florida and Joseph Warren Shutts of Clarksville, Ohio; sister-in-law, Mary Messmar; his life friends, Gary Wical and Pete Wical; three nephews; ten nieces; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, a sister, Ellen Marie Locke, and a brother and sister-in-law, Marion & Alice Shutts, are preceded in death.
Visitation will be 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. A funeral service with Rev. Josephine Allen officiating will begin at 12:00 Noon, Friday, December 31. Interment will be in Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford, Ohio at the convenience of the family.
