Marie Helen (Williams) Butts

Marie Helen (Williams) Butts, 90, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021 at her residence.  Her husband, Joseph Marion “Joe” Butts, preceded her in death January 30, 2020.  They were married December 24, 1954.  She was born November 18, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter of the late Roy C. and Elsie C. Gaskins Williams.  She was a 1949 graduate of Kings Mills High School.

Mrs. Butts retired from Ledex Inc. in Wilmington.  She was an active member of the Wilmington Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed doing word search puzzles.

She is survived by two sons, Bruce (Mary Lee) Butts of The Villages, Florida and Carl Butts of Wilmington, Ohio; a daughter, Beverly (Jim) Reiley of Greenfield, Ohio; three grandchildren, Christina (Jim) Gregory, Matthew (Norma) Butts, and Michael Butts; five great-grandchildren, Ashley Marquardt, Cierra Marquardt, Jayden Gregory, Erin Cooney, and Corbin Butts; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, a grandson, David Butts, three brothers, Vernon Williams, Elmer Williams, and Alfred Williams, and two sisters, Audrey Williams and Harriet Denney, are preceded in death.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the Wilmington Church of the Nazarene, 2193 Wayne Road, Wilmington, Ohio.  A funeral service with Pastor Rod Walley officiating will begin at 1:00 PM, Wednesday at the church.  Burial will be in Clinton County Memory Gardens.
