Our dear mother Marilyn W. Griffith sadly passed away on March 20, 2025, at the age of 71, at Highland County Hospital, Hillsboro. She was a wonderful wife for 48 years. She is a mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance.
She is survived by her husband, James L. Griffith Sr. of New Vienna; son, Markland G. Griffith (Heidi Ludwig) of New Vienna; daughter, Kelly A. Griffith of New Vienna; grandchildren, Amie L. (Dusty) Swayne, Zachary C. Griffith, Arwen B. (Jasper) ZeBelle, and Carissa Weisenberger; and six great-grandchildren. Marilyn is also survived by siblings Mike Brockman, Mark (Janet) Brockman, Marlene (Gary) Lewis, Martin (Pam) Brockman, and Matt Brockman; as well many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Virginia Brockman; a son, Cpl. James L. Griffith Jr.; and a stepdaughter, Pamela Weisenberger.
Marilyn worked at Buckeye Molding Company/PRI (now Huhtamaki, Inc.) for 25 years, retiring many years ago. She enjoyed volunteering and spending time with family and friends.
No services are currently scheduled. A celebration of Marilyn’s life will be announced later.
