Mark Allan Kratzer

Mark Allan Kratzer, 67, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 19, 2023.  His wife, Susan M. Wright Kratzer, survives.  They were married July 16, 1977.  He was born March 9, 1956 in Clinton County, Ohio, son of the late Roy and Margaret Wilma Gohs Kratzer.

After graduating from the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy in 1990, Mr. Kratzer was a registered pharmacist and the owner of five Kratzer’s Pharmacy locations until his retirement February 7, 2023.  He was a member of the Ohio Pharmacists Association and a former board member and past president of Community Care Hospice.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Kratzer is survived by his son, Stephen M. (Wesley Daughtry) Kratzer of Indianapolis, Indiana; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Dan Lawson of Wilmington, Ohio; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary Kratzer of Wilmington, Ohio, Eddie and Rachel Kratzer of Tampa, Florida, Shelley Kratzer of Wilmington, Ohio, Cynthia (Ed) Black of Wilmington, Ohio and Lori Wright of Maineville, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Larry Kratzer and George Kratzer; and a sister and brother-in-law, Dianna and Don Tira.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Monday, April 24, 2023 at Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio.  A funeral service with Dan Mayo officiating will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at the Wilmington Assembly of God, 609 W. Locust Street, Wilmington, Ohio.  Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
