Mike Oberweiser, 45, of Clarksville, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 16, 2021. His wife, Sandy Robinette Oberweiser, survives.
He was born March 14, 1975 in Coshocton County, Ohio, son of Sharon Spangler Oberweiser of Sunbury, Ohio and the late Doug Oberweiser.
He was a graduate of Coshocton High School. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati and received his M.B.A. from Capital University.
Mr. Oberweiser served seven years in the U.S. Navy and was currently employed by Alkermes in Wilmington. He was an Eagle Scout and an avid outdoorsman and Ohio State fan. He loved traveling and camping with his family. Mike’s passion was hiking, and as a 14er, he often ascended to 14,000 feet elevation to enjoy God’s beauty.
In addition to his wife and mother, Mike is survived by two daughters, Brooke Oberweiser and Paige Oberweiser; a brother, Roger (Margaret) Oberweiser of Zionsville, Indiana; and a sister, Laura (Kyle) Parker of Sunbury, Ohio.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon – 3:00 PM, Monday, February 22, 2021 at Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. A funeral service with Adam Tissandier officiating will begin at 3:00 PM, Monday at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dayton National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
