Peggy L. Lewis, 77, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at her residence. Her husband, Marcus W. Lewis, whom she married November 18, 1966 survives. Peggy was born October 11, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Curtis “Ruffy” Rulon and Jean Simpson Rulon. She was a 1965 graduate of Wilmington High School.
Peggy owned and operated a daycare from her home for many decades and touched the lives of numerous children. She also retired as a regional leader for Weight Watchers. She was a member of the Wilmington Church of Christ where she had been a Sunday school teacher and a youth group leader. Peggy was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her community and knew no strangers. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed attending car shows with her husband.
In addition to her husband, Peggy is survived by her daughter, Stacy Lewis Oldfield and her husband John of Charleston, South Carolina; her son, Michael Lewis of San Antonio, Texas; and her granddaughter, Abigail Oldfield who will be graduating from Clemson University this May.
