Richard R Groves Jr.

Richard R. Groves Jr., 71, of New Vienna, Ohio passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio.  He was born December 30, 1952 in Wilmington, Ohio, son of the late Richard R. Groves  Sr. and Vera Ann Lucas Groves.  He was a graduate of Wilmington High School.

Over his career, Richard had worked at Metropolitan Insurance, Airborne Express, and Nabisco.  He enjoyed golfing and hunting.

Richard is survived by his son, Ethan Groves of Miamisburg, Ohio; a granddaughter, Zoey Groves; three brothers, James (Becky) Groves, Robert (Mary) Groves, and John Groves; a sister, Linda Kittle; his aunts and uncle, Kenneth (Joyce) Lucas and Delores Eakins; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, a brother-in-law, Tom Kittle, is preceded in death.

Mr. Groves will be cremated; no services are scheduled.
