Richard L Newton

Richard L. Newton, 84, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Monday, August 17, 2020 at Wilmington Nursing & Rehabilitation Residence.  His wife, Nancy Lewis Newton, survives.  He was born May 4, 1936 in Clinton County, Ohio, son of the late Clifford and Hazel Freeze Newton.

Mr. Newton was a longtime employee of Chester Township and had also worked for the Wilmington Senior Citizens Center.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Tom Newton of Wilmington, Ohio; a sister, Ruth Ann (Bob) Nichols of Georgia; and a niece, Amy Nichols.  In addition to his parents, a son, Jerry Carl Newton, and two brothers, Larry Newton and David Newton, are preceded in death.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, August 21, 2020 at Springfield Friends Cemetery, Todd’s Fork Road, Wilmington, Ohio.
