Robert Berlin

Robert Berlin, 91, of Wilmington, Ohio died Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Ohio Living Cape May.  His wife, Betty J. Berlin, preceded him in death January 23, 2017.  They were married April 14, 1954.  Mr. Berlin was born November 18, 1933 on Berlin Road in Clinton County, Ohio, son of the late Ralph Berlin and Charlotte Reynolds Berlin.  He was a graduate of Wilmington High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Berlin retired from Cincinnati Milacron and had also worked at Airborne Express.  He was a member of the Wilmington Church of Christ, a past president of the Wilmington High School Athletic Boosters, and coached youth sports for many years.  He enjoyed playing golf and bridge.  He loved attending the sporting events and performances of his grandchildren and would always be in attendance with his beloved wife, Betty.

Mr. Berlin is survived by his son, Anthony J. (Donna) Berlin; his daughter, Leslie Ann (Michael) Nichols; grandchildren, Jordan Anthony (Samantha Schlaegel) Berlin, Carter Michael Nichols, and Charlotte Josephine Nichols; great-grandchildren, Maddux Schlaegel-Berlin, Lawson Schlaegel-Berlin, and Ardyn Schlaegel-Berlin; his "adopted" grandchildren, Sakura, Haruki, Nono, and Ana Betty Nagatoshi, and Quinten Rollins; and his close friend, Lennis Perkins.

In addition to his wife and parents, a brother, Charles William Berlin, and a sister, Mary Ellen Berlin, are preceded in death.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Friday, March 7, 2025 at the Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio.
