Robert Hicks

Robert Milton Hicks, 67, of Blanchester, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Continental Manor Nursing Home.  His wife, Deborah Reed Hicks, preceded him in death February 27, 2012.  They were married February 15, 1974.  He was born January 31, 1955 in Clinton County, Ohio, son of the late George “Bunk” Hicks Jr. and Judith Asher Hicks. 

Mr. Hicks had worked as a computer programmer for several different companies. 

He was a longtime member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association and had attended Living Water Worship Center in Spring Valley, Ohio.  He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.

Mr. Hicks is survived by his daughter, Tracy (Buddy) Phillips of Blanchester, Ohio; his son, Steven (Amber) Hicks of Wilmington, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Maria Reed of Florida; nine grandchildren, Shanda Hall, Brandon (Shelby) Hall, Elijah Hicks, Andrew Hicks, Jaylee Hicks, Colston Hicks, Charlee Hicks, Brynlee Hicks, and Justin (Laura) Mullins; three great-grandchildren, Brandon Hall Jr., Dede Brunk, and Lillian Hall; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his wife and parents, a son, Brandon Hicks, is preceded in death.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio.  A funeral service with William Reed officiating will follow at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday.  Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 49 Honor Guard.  Pallbearers will be Elijah Hicks, Andrew Hicks, Jon Hansford, Craig Manor, Justin Mullins, and Brandon Hall.  Honorary pallbearers will be Colston Hicks, Roy Hansford, Dakota Manor, Caleb Manor, Jayden Shinkle, and Dominic Bowman.
