Ronald W Blackburn

Ronald W Blackburn of New Vienna, Ohio passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 10 in Clinton County.  Ronald was the son of Larry (Penny) Blackburn and Mary Gallick.  He is also survived by his wife, Virginia Blackburn; son, Christopher Blackburn; daughter, Rachele Grooms; stepson, Frank (Megan) Evans Jr.; brothers, Michael (Lori) Blackburn, Alan Blackburn, Kevin Blackburn, and JD Pitzer; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Maliry, Gage, and Robbie; step-grandmother, Jane Fauber; dear cousins; many lifelong friends; and his fur companion, Chippy. He was preceded in death by Grandparents, C. Robert and Stella Blackburn, Willie and Louise Henry; step-grandfather, Heber Fauber; his beloved brother, Richard Blackburn; and stepdaughter, Amber Evans.

Ronnie was a 1979 graduate of East Clinton High School.  His career was based primarily in agriculture, running spray equipment for many local operations.  He loved being in the fields and built relationships with many farm families in the area.  He loved yardwork and tending the garden as well as spending time with dear friends and family.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday, March 15, 2021 at the Smith Funeral Home, 64 S. South Street, New Vienna, Ohio followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, Monday.  Burial will be in New Vienna I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
