Rosemary Federle Obituary

Rosemary Kay Leisure Federle, 78, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away January 15, 2021, at the Christ Hospital, Cincinnati. Her husband, Richard L Federle Sr., preceded her in death October 24, 2008.  Mrs. Federle was born August 9, 1942 in Cincinnati.

She is survived by her son, Richard Federle Jr. of Wilmington, Ohio; her daughter Robyn Foreman of West Chester, Ohio; grandson, Richie of Wilmington, Ohio; and granddaughters, Teagan and Brinlee of West Chester, Ohio.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Iris & Clyde Phillips, and her parents.

She was a retired Clinical Psychologist and College Professor.  After her children were in elementary school, Rosemary completed her bachelor’s degree at Wilmington College and her master’s degree at Wright State University in Psychology and Sociology.  Rosemary’s huge heart and passion for healing others, led to a successful career as a licensed Clinical Psychologist, specializing in chemical dependency treatment.  She was employed by various hospitals, mental health facilities, and prison systems, often working with clients no one else would take on. She never gave up on a person and saved many lives through her work with Alcoholics Anonymous. Mrs. Federle was also a beloved mentor and friend to her co-workers and enjoyed sharing her vast knowledge in treating chemical dependency as an adjunct professor at both Wilmington College and Antioch College.

"Rosie" will be remembered for her love of cats and selfless devotion to those closest to her. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all her knew her.

Due to health restrictions, private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial at Laurel Cemetery in Cincinnati.
