Sandia Laverne Jackson, 69, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Kettering Medical Center. She was born February 3, 1952 in Knoxville, Tennessee, daughter of the late Lloyd Calvin Elmore and Mary Frances Collins Elmore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Willard Davenport; a brother, Charles Elmore; and a sister, Patricia Geiger.
Sandia is survived by a son, Jack Willard Davenport II of Beckley, West Virginia; a daughter, Chasity Annette (Kevin Ray Kesterson) Davenport of Wilmington, Ohio; two brothers, Jimmy (Sharon) Elmore of Tennessee and Steve Elmore of Kentucky; a sister, Faye (Tom) Gentry of Tennessee; three grandchildren, Jack Willard Davenport III, Dustin James (Ella) Davenport, and Hannah Sandia Marie Davenport; two great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Marie Davenport and Percy James Davenport; very close family friends, Amy (Mike) Martin and Jennifer Turner; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM, Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. A funeral service with Pastor Andy Christiansen officiating will begin at 5:00 PM, Sunday.
