Sandy Riley

Saundra “Sandy” Riley, 77, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026.  She was born October 14, 1948 in Ashland, Kentucky. 

Sandy was an avid quilter and loved animals. 

She is survived by her sons, Shawn (Rich Mishock) Newton of Port Saint Lucie, Florida and Avery (Ashley) Newton of Summerfield, Florida; a sister, Kim Wilson of Wilmington, Ohio; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Della Gullett Wilson and Lee Wilson.

A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Monday, June 1, 2026 at Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio.  Interment will be in New Burlington Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sandy’s memory may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1024, Wilmington OH 45177.
