Stella (Strider) Boring

Stella Boring, 102, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Friday, August 20, 2021 at Clinton Memorial Hospital.  Her husband, William L. Boring, preceded her in death.  She was born October 31, 1918 in Midland, Ohio, daughter of the late Palmer and Musetta Schoonover Strider.

Mrs. Boring retired from Clinton Memorial Hospital where she worked as a nurse for 35 years.  She was a member of the First Christian Church–Disciples of Christ and the Order of the Eastern Star.  She was active in the Wilmington Senior Center, where she enjoyed playing volleyball and played regularly even after she turned 100.  She was also an avid bowler.

Survivors include her son, Ian Sunny Lake aka Kevin Boring and his fiancée, Barbara Myers of Millbury, Massachusetts; a brother, Donald (Jeri) Strider of Midland, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Tyler Lake, Abbey Lake, and Zachary Lake.

In addition to her husband and parents, a brother, Clayton Strider, and a sister, Zola Larkin, are preceded in death.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at New Antioch Cemetery.
