Teresa Elaine (Golden) Hayslip

Teresa Elaine Hayslip, 65, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 at Kindred Hospital in Dayton.  Her husband, James Jeffery Hayslip, survives.  They were married May 16, 2005.  She was born January 8, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Gene and Elva Dailey Golden.

Teresa was an emergency room nurse for 25 years at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington and Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.  She then worked as a nurse practitioner for nine years with Dr. LaRuffa’s office in Blanchester and with Wilmington Medical Associates.  She enjoyed walking, gardening, riding motorcycles, and her pets.

In addition to her husband, Teresa is survived by three sons, Matthew (Becky) Fetty of Texas, Eric (Molly) Fetty of Texas, and James (Nakitta) Hayslip of Tennessee; two daughters, Meghan (Shawn) Keniston of Ohio and Amanda (Bub) Shinkle of Ohio; eight grandchildren, Clara Fetty, Logan Fetty, Grayson Fetty, Peyton Keniston, Lillian Keniston, Emily Keniston, RD Shinkle, and Breydan Shinkle; two brothers, James and Jeffrey; and a sister, Vicki.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio.  A funeral service with Pastor Ginger Pendell officiating will follow at 6:00 PM, Wednesday at Smith Funeral Home.
