Thomas E. "Sir" Shuttleworth, 83, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Four Seasons of Washington Court House. His wife, Carol Sue Roush Shuttleworth, survives. They were married July 14, 1962. He was born April 21, 1939 in Springfield, Ohio, son of the late Eugene and Martha Goings Shuttleworth.
Mr. Shuttleworth retired after 42 years of employment at Irwin Auger Bit. He served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and being outdoors.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Shuttleworth is survived by two daughters, Jalene (Dennis) Ruddle of Wilmington, Ohio and Tonya (Marty) Jones of Wilmington, Ohio; a son, Thomas K. (Heather) Shuttleworth of Wilmington, Ohio; sisters, Marciene Cook of Bellbrook, Ohio, Beverly Thornbury of Pikeville, Kentucky, and Barbara Magley of Mount Airy, Georgia; grandchildren, Andrew (LaTasha) Ruddle, Lacie (Josh) Ingles, Tyler (Heather) Jones, Jacob (Alexis) Macik, Jared (Marissa McCall) Macik, Jordan Macik, and Olivia Macik; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, a grandson, Matthew Shuttleworth, is preceded in death.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, May 16, 2022 at Clinton County Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., 17th Floor, Chicago, IL 60601.
