William "Little Bill" Madison Mahanes Jr.

William Madison “Little Bill” Mahanes Jr., 63, of Bowersville, Ohio passed away Friday, June 5, 2026 at Miami Valley Hospital.  He was born on December 18, 1962 in Wilmington, Ohio, son of the late William Madison Mahanes Sr. and Sylvia Sue Young Adams.  He was a 1981 graduate of East Clinton High School.

Mr. Mahanes was an over-the-road truck driver for 41 years and drove for Schneider National          Carriers for 33 years.  He was a longtime volunteer for the New Vienna Fire Department.  Bill took great pride in mowing all his neighbor’s yards for them.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Robison Mahanes; his sister, Kelly Mahanes (Christian) Travis of Hillsboro, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by sisters,  Carla Mahanes, Christina Mahanes, and Tabitha Mahanes.

In accordance with Bill’s wishes, there will not be any services.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill’s memory may be made to Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio.
