Eugene Smith and Son Funeral Home in New Vienna in 1948. In 1969, his son, James E. "Jim" Smith joined him in the business. In 1973 they purchased Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home in Wilmington, Ohio. In 1999 Jim's son, Shane C. Smith joined the business. Shane's wife, Tricia "Niki" Smith has been the funeral homes' prearrangement consultant since 1994.
